Non-surgical Rhinoplasty
(Liquid Nose Job)
A non-surgical rhinoplasty is when dermal fillers (Juverderm for example) are used to alter the shape of the nose. The results are not permanent and often last anywhere from 9 months to 18 months.
The procedure takes about 20 to 30mins. It can be painful, however, a local anaesthetic cream applied to the nose 1 hour before the procedure significantly reduces the discomfort.
A non-surgical rhinoplasty is suitable for patients wanting to camouflage and smoothen a small bump on the bridge. It can also increase tip projection (the amount the nose sticks out of the face).
The downside to a liquid rhinoplasty is that it does not last forever. Serious complications that can occur rarely include skin necrosis or blindness. This is due to filler material being accidently injected into a vessel.
