6 Weeks After Dorsal Preservation Rhinoplasty
In patients who have a bump on the bridge of their nose, but who have an overall nice bridge, then preserving this bridge is ideal. In dorsal preservation rhinoplasty, the bridge of the nose is lowered instead of being cut away and reconstructed.
What Is Dorsal-Protective Rhinoplasty?
What is Closed Protective Rhinoplasty
To change the shape of the nose during a rhinoplasty the cartilage and bones in the nose must be reshaped. To do this the surgeon has to access these structures through incisions. In a closed or endonasal rhinoplasty, these structures are accessed with incisions placed inside the nostrils. This means that there are no visible scars on the outside of the nose.
